Everyone Has Irrational Fears, Right?

A dear thank you goes out to Momagement Matters for bestowing me the Versatile Blogger award! This is an award I have received already, but I still eat up all the love I can get like the mega-attention-monger I am.

In the spirit of…versatility…I will do something a little different today.

My Top 10 List of Daily Irrational Fears

10. That I will not be able to poop when I need to.

9. That my pants will suddenly not fit.

8. That I will be asked to perform some feat of accomplishment, and I will fail miserably.

7. That my need for sleep will not be fulfilled. Sleeping rituals include: earplugs ready on the bedside, white noise machines going, pillows situated “just so,” a light breeze (even in deep winter) from the fan above, positive self-talk, etc., etc.

6. That I will have something occur that will interrupt WHAT IS TO BE EXPECTED.

5. That I will run out of wine.

4. That there will be no available coffee between 7:30 am – 11:00 am.

3. That I will be exposed to very annoying things, like sloppy eating, gum popping, dog slobber, ice chewing, apple eating, whistling, and assholes in general.

2. That I have annoyed someone. Other people can REALLY annoy me, so it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to think I have annoyed someone. Please do not tell me if I have ever annoyed you. I am a very sensitive person and would be destroyed.

1. That I have been too honest, therefore, inciting negative opinions about me.

Cool! Great post.
Keep living your dream Kristy. Don't lose sight of it. And remember - patient persistence is very important.

Well, number one is certainly the most irrational of the lot, seeing as it is exactly your honesty that I admire! Don't be afraid to say what you're feeling Kristy-it gets nobody nowhere.

#3- that is enough to drive me crazy!

Remind me never to sleep with you! That sounds like some routine :)

#3 is why I fear going out of my house sometimes.

man your fears sound totally rational compared to some of mine! Perhaps I will make my own list over on my blog!

Aw, honey. You sound like every other red-blooded woman/mom out there. I do believe you and I may be sleep-twins. I'm the same way.

Come to think of it, I think I agree with every one of your 10 things.

I don't think fear #10 is all that irrational!

I can relate to #10. I want to know when our bathroom habits because such a huge concern. #5 will NEVER happen. NEVER.

Woohoo!! Let's just go ahead and put our irrational thoughts out there! :) Maybe we should all link up and list off ours. Loves it!

Love number one. Honesty is always positive, and I don't think your delivery of your honest opinion will ever incur negative feelings.

Thanks so much for your note on my blog. I posted this morning and am REALLY going to make a commitment to get back into it. When I'm not sleeping. I'm back! :)

Ok, wait a minute. You pre-worry over pooping? Girl...what up?

I have never given irrational fears that much thought, but as I read your list I realized:

I SHARE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE WITH YOU!!!

It's truly uncanny really.

The funniest I would have to say is #10. Without giving TMI, I was constipated a bit after having Jack. I have never experienced that before, and now...I have this HUGE fear of not being able to go. Ridiculous!

Congrats on your award.

And ha, you said poop.

how about pooping when you DON'T need to?

#9 seems to happen to me a lot more then I would like to admit. These days I keep two sizes handy at all times and call it a day.

Glen, please don't give me any more ideas for additional worries in my irrational mind.

Lisa (Green Acres Bliss) - I have been trying to comment at your site and haven't been able to! There is something wrong with the word verification step!!! I cannot find another way to access you - no email on the profile.

While I'm at it - Rebecca - a new follower - in case you are reading this, I always try to return favor on follows and comments but I cannot find where you have commented on me, and the info pulled up from your follow button gives me nowhere to go.

Kristy, you say you have an irrational fear of being exposed to obnoxious things. I might say I share that, except with me it's a dead certainty that it will happen, so I'm not sure it's irrational! Wish I could be more tolerant of loud chewing, etc., but nope, I just can't.

Oh #1 & #6, yes! You are awesome, just love ya!

here here on number #9!!

Oh, yay, there are other people out there who hate gum popping and loud slobby chewing! Hooray!

I knew I liked you for a reason.
