Part Survival, Mostly Wonderful

We recently got home from a fabulous family vacation. The experience was part survival and mostly wonderful. Check it out.

From the Drive-Heard-Round-the-World (too bad we didn't get a picture of the screaming). Hockey obsession traveled with us. The activity tray was "the ice." The cake top decorations were the players. A quarter was "the puck." Lightning McQueen was "the Zamboni."

Presents at Grandma's!

Another birthday celebration!

After a couple of days, we left the maniac with Grandma and got the hell out of there for some long overdue overnight alone time!

Beautiful Sedona, Arizona

We are whoopin' it up. Obviously.

The hubs actually tolerated some shopping!

Our Griswold shots of the landscape, about 10 feet away from our car, just the way I like it.

You can find Wordless Wednesday at Kristi's Live and Love...Out Loud.

Hey, looks like you had a nice time. Road trips can be scary, not sure if I am mentally prepared for those yet.

I once went 4 wheeling in Sedona with my son in his jeep. What a beautiful area. He was the conference planning manager at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort at the time. Looks like you had a little fun on your vacation.

Love the pics! I have wanted to visit the desert tourist-y places for a long time, and I'm fascinated by what I've read about Sedona. I've never been further west than Ohio!

Happy belated birthday to your son.

Sedona is beautiful! We live about two hours away and we love heading up there on weekends just to tool around!

Road trips? Definitely not ready for one of those at our house! But we're hitting a plane today for FL and I'm not looking forward to figuring out how to get the car seat into the tiny plane seat...

We could definitely use a vacation...to Alaska, maybe. I've never been but that's where I want to go!

Thanks for the "follow" by the way.

Just found your blog and love it! Can't wait to read more!
And I can relate to the "drive heard round the world" experience. The kind where you're pretty sure the semi that just passed is radio-ing CPS.

I mentioned this in another comment on your blog, but I am referring to you as the blog with the Griswold family :) hahahaha I mean that in the BEST way!
