Blog on Fire Award

Today, I am accepting an award by the gracious MaMe Musings! She is the mom to twins, and I just love her "About Me" description:

Mommy to twins, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, educator, reader, blogger, traveler, political junkie, wine drinker, deep thinker, coffee needer, worry wart, napper, wanna-be entrepreneur, beach lover, a work in progress.

To accept the Blog on Fire award, I must tell 7 things about myself. As if you don't already know too much? Well, there is always more.

1. I do not like small talk.

2. I am currently angst-ing about some revisions on my novel.

3. People need to be more quiet.

4. I love cooking shows.

5. If it were up to me, I'd be in Mexico right now.

6. I have a problem with chewing the skin off of my right thumb.

7. I know I probably just weirded you out with #6, but then that's your problem, not mine.

So, of course with these blog awards, I must spread the love and award it to others. I will go with the first 10 bloggers who made me feel so welcome on Twitter and were excited to see me recently join! These bloggers are on Twitter chatting it up and connecting. It has been fun!

Thank you for your generosity and your blogging hotness:

@TroppoMum, Tropical Mum
@Missy_Stevens, Wonder Friend
@OldTweener, Old Tweener
@TamingInsanity, Taming Insanity
@shellthings, Things I Can't Say
@MoveOverMaryP, Move Over Mary Poppins!
@MamaWantsThis, Mama Wants This!
@SleeplessNights, Sleepless Nights
@MamasMonologues, Mama's Monologues
@Glowless, Where's My Glow?

Congratulations on the award and THANK YOU so much for giving it to me!! YAY!

Is there much left of your thumb?

Oh goody! I need a light-hearted list task to do. Thanks for the award.

I agree with 1, 3 and 5 also.

THANK YOU!!

But, um, chewing the skin off of your thumb?? Is there anything left?

It's okay, I chew my fingernails. Or pick them off.

I also abhor small talk. I think of it as "scripted" discussion, which I'm not interested in. What I want more of is the kind of talk you can only get from the person you're talking to at the moment--the kind that reflects their experiences and their heart specifically!

#6 did weird me out, a teensy bit, but #7 had me laughing it off!

Why are you mean to your left thumb? It probably feels so rejected. lol

I couldn't agree with you more about people being too loud!

ackkk! My husband has this weird obsession with picking the skin off his feet. It's so gross, and right up there with your thumb thing. Ewwww. But it's ok, I still love ya!

I'm not a fan of small talk either. One reason I hate family get togethers, at least for the first hour it's all small talk. So how's work, how about that weather, BLAHHHHH. Bring on the wine and then everything is a lot more fun.

small talk = why do you think I consume so much wine?

You're correct. #6 was sort of weird. But I pick my nose, so maybe we're even?

Where are you on twitter? I don't see a button. Find me. @suzrocks

#6 did kind of gross me out but then if I was totally honest about my crazies then you'd say the same thing about me. Congrats on the award - good luck with the novel!

No. 6? I know all about it. Not you. Me. I do the same thing.
