No Rest for the Weary - Sunday Stream of Conscious

I can hear my son upstairs giving my husband hell over taking a nap. Parker is in a very annoying phase, or at least let's just hope that's what it is. "Annoying" as a permanent personality trait would not be good. I feel like I have been waiting days for some rest. Rrreeeeeessstt. Rest. Mmmm. I want some rest. Should I go up there? Should I help? My husband would let me know if he needs help, right? Besides, this cooking show is RIVETING. My life will be better if I know how to make this EASY and SIMPLE dessert made from cookie dough, marmalade, and melted chocolate. My cooking IQ has increased ten-fold by watching the cooking channel while blogging. I am deeply grateful. Think of all the people I can IMPRESS now with my skillz! But, actually, I don't want to see anyone. I want Sunday to last forever, so I can convince this head-cold to leave me while I stay in a horizontal position.

I do that too. When my daugter is cranky, I pretend I cant here her and let my husband deal. I need a break and rest sometimes. She is in her "my teeth hurt so bad, if I can't sleep,no one is sleeping" phase! AHHH!

Enjoy the moments of peace while your husband deals with the struggle of nap. Cooking shows totally rock. :-)

Oh yeah....ignore...TOTALLY! I spent last Sunday running away from my family! I was even followed into the bathroom....by an 11 year old! So I hid.
That desert sounds interesting, you must stay and learn. So that you can share. With us;-)

xx Jazzy

Husbands need to deal now and then! It's good for their character growth!

Hope your head cold get better. And why do kids hate nap time so much? As an adult we would all love to have one!

I hope you feel better and I hope that you didn't step in with nap time. Let the husband take care of it. That's what I do on the weekends.

I get hell over getting dressed. She just doesn't want to get dressed. We have tears and tantrums every day. I hope it's a phase too. It's especially hard on work days cause I know that I'd much rather stay home and just hang out too.

Now I'm all nostalgic for the weekend - I can't believe I now have to wait a whole five more days for it to return!

I hope you get some rest this upcoming week.

I am totally addicted to the food network. Whenever I manage to have a day at home. I watch hours of it while doing chores, cleaning, and blogging.

You were wise to stay right where you were and enjoy those Sunday moments alone and away from the annoyance. ;)

Sometimes a good head cold is just the perfect excuse to lay about in your pj's watching cooking shows. I say, milk it and let hubby deal with the cranky little one.

I love lazy days. I love lazy moments in a day. I always feel a little guilt but I think that's part of my nature. By the way, I own about 87 cookbooks and I can probably cook about 2 things.
