Meet Me on Monday

What a crazy ass weekend! I need another one, but alas, I do not get another one today. It is Monday, and I need a little help, so I'm linking up with Java for Meet Me on Monday!

1. I can't stand when someone ________?

I can't stand when someone loudly pops and chews their gum. Why do they think other people want to listen to that?

2. Do you do daily, weekly or monthly grocery shopping?

Grocery shopping is the bane of my weekly existence.

3. What kind of car do you drive?

I'm low maintenance when it comes to cars and willingly accept hand me downs from my husband. I am driving a Ford Escape.

4. Crunchy or soft tacos?

Mostly soft but sometimes crunchy.

5. What's the habit you are proudest of breaking?

I'd like to say smoking, but I still bum some here and there. I hadn't had one for a few months - since my best friend visited this summer, but then we did our annual birthday celebration for my husband at the casinos this weekend. I had some.

Now aren't you glad you know that much more about me?! Happy Monday!

Do you think you were able to "quit" smoking because you do allow yourself to smoke once in awhile? My addiction was Mt Dew and I tried to quit cold-turkey so many times and never was able to do it. Finally, I told myself I could have one once in awhile and that did the trick.

Chocolate is my addiction!

I'm a gum cracker and popper, but I promise you I only do it when I'm alone!

I like crunchy AND soft tacos too, but mostly crunchy.

I would love to say I'm proud of having given up caffeine, but I have the feeling the giving-up ought to be longer than 5 days at a time for pride to be applicable. I guess the next-best thing for me would be stopping sucking my thumb at *coughcoughcough*. It took some work, but I got there in the end!

I always intend to shop once a week, but I, too, dislike it. I'd say I average twice a month. With a lot of Thai food in between.

I love crunchy tacos. They seem so old school to me. I promise I never pop my gum on purpose, cool? :)

I like to pop out to the shops and buy just what we need for the day... but then we'd be constantly running out of things. My husband goes shopping every couple of weeks and that saves us.

Shopping. I hate it.

We usually skip the tortilla or taco shell altogether and go for taco salad (crushed up tortilla chips), but if I'm going to have a taco I usually go soft.

I hate grocery shopping. I make a list and send my husband!

Hand-me-down cars can be real life savers. Most of ours for the last 20 years have been hand-me-downs. Then, this year, we were able to get my little zoom-zoom. Now, my daughter is waiting for it to be her hand-me-down. :)

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope that you have a great day!

Oh, the gum! I can't stand that.

I used to tell my students they could chew it as long as they didn't leave it all over the place AND if they didn't chew like cows. If I could hear them chewing, they had to spit it out.

Ugh I hate grocery shopping...and the loud gum chewing!

I grocery shop every week at 3 different stores. Takes forever.

I am embarrassed to admit (and feel very spoiled when I do so) that grocery shopping unravels me.

I hate it.

You pick the stuff up off the shelf and put it in your cart. You take it out of the cart and put it on the checkout belt. They take it off the belt and put it in the cart. Again. You take it out of the cart and put it in the car. You take it out of the car and put it in the kitchen. You take it out of the bags and put it on the counter. You take it off the counter and put it in the cabinets or refrigerator.

And.

You haven't even started dinner yet.

Seriously. It's no wonder we like wine.

I sneak a smoke here and there sometimes too. I'd really like to be able to say that I don't do that one day.
