From the Drive-Heard-Round-the-World (too bad we didn't get a picture of the screaming). Hockey obsession traveled with us. The activity tray was "the ice." The cake top decorations were the players. A quarter was "the puck." Lightning McQueen was "the Zamboni."
After a couple of days, we left the maniac with Grandma and got the hell out of there for some long overdue overnight alone time!
Our Griswold shots of the landscape, about 10 feet away from our car, just the way I like it.

Hey, looks like you had a nice time. Road trips can be scary, not sure if I am mentally prepared for those yet.
I once went 4 wheeling in Sedona with my son in his jeep. What a beautiful area. He was the conference planning manager at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort at the time. Looks like you had a little fun on your vacation.
Love the pics! I have wanted to visit the desert tourist-y places for a long time, and I'm fascinated by what I've read about Sedona. I've never been further west than Ohio!
Happy belated birthday to your son.
That's cute, Lightning McQueen was the Zamboni. Little kids have such imagination!!
Glad you had a good time.
Lovely. I am so glad that you had a wonderful time.
Sedona is beautiful! We live about two hours away and we love heading up there on weekends just to tool around!
Can't have a vacation without some shopping.
So glad you had some fun and some needed alone time with the hubs. Sedona must have been breathtaking!
Road trips? Definitely not ready for one of those at our house! But we're hitting a plane today for FL and I'm not looking forward to figuring out how to get the car seat into the tiny plane seat...
Haha! I love the quarter for a hockey puck~! What a fun activity for the kids in the car ;) Looks like a fun trip! Beautiful scenery
We could definitely use a vacation...to Alaska, maybe. I've never been but that's where I want to go!
Thanks for the "follow" by the way.

I hope Grandma wasn't traveling on the roof of the car
Just found your blog and love it! Can't wait to read more!
And I can relate to the "drive heard round the world" experience. The kind where you're pretty sure the semi that just passed is radio-ing CPS.
I love that photo in the car seat - the perfect image of vacation.
I mentioned this in another comment on your blog, but I am referring to you as the blog with the Griswold family :) hahahaha I mean that in the BEST way!

Looks fun! Too bad you didn't get a screaming picture!
