I am also grateful for the fabulous Spring Break we’ve had! Our trip was wonderful, and we survived the car rides. Barely. But, we survived.
There came a time on every driving day when Parker would begin screaming, “GET ME OUTTA THIS CHAIR!!!”
My husband would roll down the window by my son and shout, “Go ahead, Parker! Just yell and get it out!”
Parker would just start wailing out the window, “AHHHHH!”
Then, we would join him, roll down our windows, and scream out the windows.
By the end of it, we would all be laughing, and anyone in a car near us would be very worried.
When that didn’t work, I would strap a candy necklace to the maniac’s wrist, and we would continue on across the country like the idiots we are.
If that weren’t enough, I am also grateful to Nadya Booyse of Journey Keeper for giving me the Stylish Blogger award.
Nadya has a beautiful and inspirational blog. In fact, she just received another blog award in which she nominated some other inspirational bloggers, so head on over and check her out. I have received this award before and you can read about the secrets of my “style” HERE.
Now I must get to visiting blogs, and I will hope that there is a good calorie burn involved after all the Spring Break indulging.

I remember those horrible car rides growing up! "Are we there yet?" over and over and over again until my parents wanted to stab their ear drums out!
I am so glad that you are having a time of your life... and i hope it continues. Take good care.
We have similar car rides with our girls, especially Little H, our youngest!
Added myself to your Google Friend Connect!
I love that he yelled out the window like that! How freeing and fun!
I just love the idea of you all screaming out the windows. How cathartic.
I remember those long car rides as a kid and we would constantly harass our parents "are we there yet?" They never did let us scream out the window, that would have been fun.
Ha! I love that you guys told him to just yell out the window. I need to try that sometime!
Thank heavens for candy bracelets and necklaces. Blessings in a long car ride!
I remember car trips with three boys in the back seat! "He's touching me!" "It's my turn to sit near the window"" etc. Fun times.
love your blog! xo
Walking to the library might do it. I love the idea of yelling out the window. We may have to try it Saturday when we drive for six hours in one day.

When I was 7, we moved to California and Grampa and Gramma lived in Arkansas! Summer break and Christmas vacations... we lived in the car! Whew!
Yelling out the window is BRILLIANT... so is the candy bracelet. You're a genius!
I love that screaming out of the car window thing!!!! I am going to have to try that (I mean my kids are going to have to try that).
I am so scared to do trips since our three hour drive last summer, it ended with a screaming naked baby because he barfed all over himself and the A/C was out on the car. Fun fun!
Oh my gosh, that is so cool you were featured on SITS. Congratulations!!!!
Congratulation on SITS!
I am glad you guys had a great spring break... all those memories you are banking...
I feel your pain on those long car rides:)
You have a great blog:)
I am now following I hope you check mine out sometime:)
Ha! I love the idea of rolling down the windows and screaming. I think I'll need to try that.
In the carpool lane at school....
A huge congratulations for your SITS day and for the award. You deserve it! I hope you are doing great my friend! Have a good night!

Screaming out the windows in the car, sick...awesome sick... (did I use that right? I am allowed to say 'sick' if I am over 25?)
We stomp our sillies out. We stand at the bottom of the concrete stairs in our parking garage and yell and stomp. love it, best part of the day sometimes.
Oh that made me laugh out loud! Right now it's just me manically shusssshing from the front seat while my 4 month old decides he hates the car in the middle of traffic... then I get home and hug my bottle(s) of chardonney.
I so remember driving long distances with 3 screaming boys in the back seat... Thank goodness those days are gone!
Love the go ahead yell.... Sounds like our car. Glad you had a great trip and a fun SITS feature.
I am cracking up envisioning your car ride! For some reason, I automatically think of The Griswolds in "Christmas Vacation." Long car trips can be a total drag! You've got to do everything you can to make them fun!

Yeah for a successful SITS day! I remember mine like it was yesterday! It wasn't. It was ages ago actually. Wonder if they might give me a second SITS day?! They are just so much fun!
New follower here. Love your blog. So funny.
