Proud of the Pee – Almost Wordless Wednesday
My boy is starting to use the potty to go pee-pee. He is so proud. He should be.
He is quick too! He sits down, pees almost instantly, stands up, points down at the pee in the potty, and exclaims, “OOK!” And, of course, a big smile.
Everytime, it reminds me of an illustration from a Judy Blume book, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. There is a birthday party, and the little girl is so proud that she can “make tinkles.” She drops trow at the party and tinkles right on the rug. Then, she stands, quite proud of her accomplishment, smiling while everyone takes a look.
Maybe I’m strange, but I find this to be too charming.

Lots of little golf claps in quick succession. That is definitely something to be proud of! What happens when you aren't using Pampers anymore? Do you become Potty and Pinot?
So cute! I love when they're so proud. And Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing was one of my favourite books in school!
Lol isn't potty training huge. I love it. My son earned hot wheels when he went #2 we called it the poop for cars program.
LOL.. I admit that is an accomplishment! I agree with Langdowns... are you gonna become Potty and Pinot?
Haha I love the pic! :) Well done to your lil man! :)
A fabulous milestone!
I am so jealous you're getting the potty success! We are waaayyyy far from that day, but we're trying.
I find that picture charming too;)
massive achievements come in so many different ways - every day something new - fantastic stuff!
Absolutely charming!
If that just didn't happen, I would find it charming too. ;)
I don't even know how many times I read that book! Happy WW :)
So cute!! Congrats on the potty training thing. My LEAST favorite parenthood chore!!!
That is great! It is such a super accomplishment and our little ones should be proud of all of their major milestones! Yippee! Have a great night!
Mama Hen
I have a dog that tinkles on the carpet and seems quite proud of herself as well...
So happy your little one is catching on to potty training. Once you've overcome that hurdling, you're halfway there!
LOL!
Charming, so long as it wasn't my house that she tinkled at.
Great achievement! I am hanging out for the day when Ashman decides that the wee can go in the potty rather than a nappy! Love that illustration too..I find the proudness of the tinkler charming but wouldn't find the cleaning up of the tinkle to be :p .
Ah, fond Judy Blume memories surfacing. "Tinkled" made me laugh too. Good luck with the potty training. I think The Badoo is getting ready to train, so I'm ready and waiting with potty in hand. x
That is pretty darn cute. In real life it might not be as funny. ;)
Yay! For potty training!
Sounds like potty training is going well. I hope he continues to do well and not decide to drop trow out in public somewhere. lol Great illustration. Judy Blume books are great, aren't they?

Oh, too funny. Although, if you hadn't told me the premise behind this illustration, I'd be hard-pressed to guess what the hell Mom's looking at.
I don't think pee would have been my first choice.
